andyh747 Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 I've just got round to looking at changing the siren and strobe to the transistor driven outputs as opposed to the voltage free ones. However I'm not too sure if the Texecom module can be wired to these outputs. According to the installation instructions for the siren and strobe unit, the wiring is as follows: A - 12v Permanent Positive Supply B - (BELL) Negative Applied Output to Activate Siren C - (TAMP) Negative Removed on Tamper Input D - (0v) Permanent Negative Supply S - (STRB) Negative Applied Output to Activate Strobe The Scantronic outputs on the panel which I was hoping to use are transistor driven and able to sink 500mA when active. By default they are 0v when active and +12v when inactive. However the polarity can be changed on the panel. So the question is whether the siren and strobe can be wired to the these outputs thus freeing up my voltage free outputs. If so could someone indicate the necessary connections? Any help much appreciated.
james.wilson Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Yes they can. Just wire the bell and strobe to the different outputs rather than use the relays securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
andyh747 Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 Thanks James. Have just moved bell and siren to other two outputs and all working well. Can't thank you enough for your help. Appreciate you taking the time to respond.
