Paul Mathew
Hey all! I'm completely new to using alarm systems, and a friend of mine brought along an old piece of equipment that had been lying around in their workshop for a while - a Cooper Menvier 9651 with keypad. We have been trying to program just 1 zone in panic alarm mode. Each time we key in the command and try to exit the Installer mode, a zone alarm shows up on the programmed zone and makes it impossible to exit Installer mode. Any ideas? All help will be appreciated.
Alarm Protection
I think with the scanny equipment that all zones hve to be clear before you can exit instller mode. How is the panic wired? Have you got tamper wired into the panic with end of line resistors or is it 4 wire as you have to programme the panel for what type of wiring you are using. ! fozzies
All zones have to be clear of tamper alarms. pretty sure that pa on scannys works even in engineer mode, ie sets the alarm off, so most likely a tamper issue. As alarm prot said, check your zone configuration for either 4 wire or eol configuration, dependant on how u have wired it up engineers menu option 21 is the one you need to set
