gillyg32 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Hi, my daughter moved into a house with an Accentia 6 alarm already fitted, it was working well until recently and now its completely dead. The landlord came to check it and they think the fuse has gone. He then took the fuse away to get it replaced and promptly lost it. He said its not his responsibiity to replace it and therefore left her without an alarm. Living on her own with 3 kids, she needs this for security... could anyone point me in the right direction to get the correct fuse(s) for this alarm system please? Gill
itesecurity Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Hi Gill, There are several different sized fuses in the main control panel and your landlord has no clue in what he is doing. Please take my advice and have a professional alarm engineer look over the system. Fuses dont just fail for no reason, there is a problem somewhere that needs attention by someone who knows what they are doing. Having the system serviced properly will save you a lot of hassle.
fozzies Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 As ite said, fuses fail for a reason. just replacing the fuse without first finding out what caused it to blow could ultimately cost far more that getting a pro to look at it
RichL Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 He said its not his responsibiity to replace it and therefore left her without an alarm. Living on her own with 3 kids, she needs this for security... Alarm bells are ringing here! Id check the tenancy agreement to see whose responsiblility it is. If its hers then fix it if you like, if its his (as it should be being a fixture in his property) then dont touch it. Insist that it is fixed correctly by a reputable alarm company. I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.
