james.wilson Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 id bet there was a contact on zone 1 on the front door. But you cant use any other zone on that panel as an entry exit device so if you want to use the hallway sensor you will need to wire that into zone 1. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
bungo1608 Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 So is there anything wired in to Zone 1 then? yes mate..blue and white wire wired into every zone..nos 1 to 6..all the same id bet there was a contact on zone 1 on the front door. But you cant use any other zone on that panel as an entry exit device so if you want to use the hallway sensor you will need to wire that into zone 1. no wiring has been removed..this alarm definately activates off the sensors..now im new to this but a handy enough guy but i would have thought the sensor picking you up to activate the alarm could be any number..i know it would usually be no.1 but it would not matter a whole lot i dont think. just cant figure it out..no.1 zone lights up straight away yet no sensor seems to be linked to number 1 on any test..and all sensors are detecting 100%..baffled lads
james.wilson Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 When you arm it with zone 1 omited. When you come back inside the alarm will activate and im willing to bet will show zone 2. If so as i said before you had a new door or something and that contact has been removed. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
bungo1608 Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 i did have a new door james you're right but would there not have been a wire or something.. saying that though i vaguely remember a white thing on the old door..you've got me bursting my brain now james. only thing making me doubt it is the fact that it arms and disarms no probs and there is 6 sensors all working..i really dont know mate..would any alarm place look at this for me do you think or does it need to be an optima stockist or installer?? alan
james.wilson Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Any pro worth his salt will be able to sort it for you. Have a look in the tsi installer area or let us know your area.
