PAS Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 A customers keypad is now beeping every 6mins it gives two beeps each time. It is not the service timer as I dont use it but, also checked and made sure it is not active. Anyway service timer is a single beep. I have fitted hundereds of these and never came accross it before. Any ideas?

magpye Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 smoke detector. QFA - Alarm systems don't do that. Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
PAS Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 Yes Accenta G3 with two LED keypads fitted. It belongs to a friend and he timed it at 6mins, probably have to ring tech support but the the number I used to ring dos'nt seem to work anymore since they were taken over.
sixwheeledbeast Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Call Honeywell for ADE technical info now. Probably a battery smoke detector in the hall going flat, as mention already.
james.wilson Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 As above be sure its the alarm. I doubt it is securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
whistle Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Went out on call the other week to a system bleeping every 5 mins. Advised the customer 100% it was not the alarm and must be a smoke detector, they said it was deffo the alarm and needed an engineer to fix i, i advised of an out of hours call out charge. I got to site to find it was a CO detector with a low battery in the corner of the lounge under a small table. They have now terminated their contract after paying the bill for the call out saying that it was a rip off as i was only on site 5 mins. Oh well i can only give advice over the phone, its up to them to take it. Domestic bells only....
MrHappy Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 it was a rip off as i was only on site 5 mins. thank heavens for our star trek tellyporters...... Mr Veritas God
norman Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 to be fair it was probably a 300 mile round trip.... Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
