DarrenM
Hi all, Firstly I apologise if this question is not in the correct Forum area, and also for my apparent lack of knowledge - if I'm asking a silly question. I have an ADE Optima Compact house alarm. The bottom part of the front cover has been damaged where the screw tightens the cover to the rest of the alarm panel box. I have tried keeping the cover in place by using sellotape and the remaining working screw hole - yes I know a bit of an amateurish idea! But the alarm keeps going off randomly even when it has not been set. I think the alarm cover may not be tight enough and the alarm probably thinks it's being tampered with. I have the code so am able to stop the alarm and reset - but it goes off again a few hours later. Is it possible to buy a replacement front cover (lower part) from anywhere on line so that I can screw that on and see if that resolves the problem? Thanks in advance for any replies. MrHappy
no, my advice would to a buy 2nd hand panel off ebay & use the case or treat yourself to new one. bear in mind the "tamper light" does gobal tamper/ bell tamper & case tamper so might not be the case tamper causing the issue Mr Veritas God
DarrenM
Thanks guys. MrHappy - how would I know if its gobal tamper, bell tamper or case tamper as there is only one tamper light? Or is that a job for an alarm engineer?
