Mobile Phone Contracts

Recommended Posts

We currently have a group phone contract with vodafone with 10 handsets

We have 2 high users where mine is the highest, my bill is 2-300 quid a month alone.

Im sure i have read you can get unlimted usage for less than this?

I make a lot of calls and its worth looking at alternatives just for my bill alone.

Jeff seems well clued up on this but im wondering what you all do as i think we could do better.

iPhone 4s, unlimited calls, unlimited texts & 1 gig of data £36.00 per month on O2

Although I had to pay £59.00 towards the handset. But I got £304.00 for my iPhone 4 that was 2 years old on eBay.

James,it depends on who you call. our £10 a month plan suits very well as its a PAYGO. The flexable bit is that i can cancel a phone and reinstate with a new number overnight, i can increase and decrease the quantity of phones as i please. Calls to each other are free as are to 02 mobiles. We set up a GOIP unit on our phone system so all numbers starting 07 use the SIM in the GOIP, infact this has been so sucsesful we are replacing our GOIP with a 4 SIM unit although we currently will only be installing 2 live SIM cards. All calls between engineers and our office are free as weel as a the occassional 02.

Downside is you have to buy your own handset. We use windows platform for our DB and preffer the HTC touch Pro 2 which we have been buying from China for £50-60 new but be warned the chargers are poor quality.

The whole communication project which has been running in unison with our 2 No ISDN 2 and 10 DDI lines for about 6 years is almost ready for a complete transffer. July is the intended full switch date. In fact the project has been so succsesful all our enginners want a peice of it at home. The fact that our telecome bills in comparrison to our engineers home bills are so low and taking into account we have Zero line rental and on top of that we have revenue share on our incoming calls i think that their are a lot of busy fools out their spending money instead of earning it,

Just thought to add:

I suspect the premuim for vodaphone & a business tarifs is the cost issue, you would get a better tariff form another network (but maybe not a signal at your house)

iPhone 4s, unlimited calls, unlimited texts & 1 gig of data £36.00 per month on O2

looking on their webby £99 for handset but personal tariff rather business?

but would appear to be a breach of the T&C's

Which brings me to other downsides such as detailed billing and they dont send an invoice for their service.

I wont agrue with the first part of the above and i wont say i impact on the service.

As with all contracts i cant say comersial isnt open to interpretation

Defo: Commercial

Suitable or fit for a wide, popular market: Communications satellites are gradually finding a commercial use.
