About 10 years ago me and my colleague where sent to install an alarm into a bungalow in Widnes Cheshire. Now my mate Ken is a total nutter, you wont believe this one. The customers were an old couple and very nice they were, they also had a king charles spaniel. This dog loved to help us passing us the wire cutters or screwdriver, then running away with them so we had to run around after this bloody dog, another feature of this animal was a constant yap and bark. An hour into the installation and 2 headaches, my mate ken had hold of the staple gun. Nice doggy nice floppy ears YES YOU GUESSED IT!!!! he stapled the dogs ears to a door frame, after about a minute of yelping we seen the old fogey coming out to see what was the matter with thier dog, quicky getting to the dog with a pair of snips and releasing the poor critter, No more yapping or barking, in fact we never saw the dog after that, we still got paid!!!

TRUE STORY

If I get a dog getting on my nerves, sniffing me gonads etc, I shove a finger in its ear when the owners not looking. Works a treat!!!!

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

one tore the butt out of my trousers on a farm job once - chuck a pair of side cutters at them and they soon realise who's boss ;)

When I was working at BT one of are older engineers was having problems with a jack rusel it kept niping him and actualey drew blood twice well he tapped it on the head with a pin hammer wich shut it up but unfortunatley 1 hr later it still didnt move from the corner realising that he had killed it made a haystey retreat. The engineer in question was an animal lover and this was an accident. He was quite upset. But the owner put it down to ill health.

Reminds me of a similar thing years ago when I was training to be a retained firefighter of a jack russie who kept on nipping at our legs on the drill ground. We gave it a wash, which sent it off up the yard & when we took the water off, it didn't move. We all thought we had killed it until after a few moments it came round and shot off up the road. Last we ever saw of it

Could go on with loads of animal stories. I've managed to put down floor boards with a cat still under the floor, the duty callout Eng had to go back that night to free it.

When I worked as a BT Eng, a mate I was with froze with fear when finding a pet snake behind a clients settee, mind you I was off out the door rather rapid myself, and I remember the local papers years ago milking a story about a postie (Black Belt) chopping & killing a dog that bit him. Owner went mad & Royal Mail tried to discipline him :Whip: and they all threatened to strike over it.
