lexicon Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Hi I’ve just bought a house with an “ADT Freedom Honeywell Domonial” alarm installed. Previous owner moved out a while ago and doesn’t have or remember the four digit master code – says she just used the fobs! Would like to use it unmonitored without paying ADT every month. At the moment all the lights on the panel are just flashing and alarm seems disabled. Can it be reset to factory default and reprogrammed so it doesn’t dial out to a monitored station or ADT? I have found a user manual with a 6 digit“ACT Code" written in pen on the front it and there is another 10 digit number starting 10005 written in pen under the “important numbers you will need” section. I have contacted a local alarm chap who says he can’t do anything without the installation manul or knowing more about it. If anyone has any suggestions or can get hold of a copy of the manual for me I’d very much appreciate it. Jon (Essex)

Jon (Essex) I don't think this is an overly popular panel with most installers so you will either need to go back with ADT or find a local installer who is comfortable with Domonial. I know we wouldn't be interested and would refer you back to ADT.
PeterJames Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 These panels are used by independants as well as ADT so best bet is to do a search using your postcode on www.nsi.org.uk or ssiab.co.uk and get phoning until you find someone. ADT have a habit of not using real external sounders so you may find its not much use as an audible system
lexicon Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Many thanks for the advice so far. Looks like I need to find someone with specific experience with this panel that's not too far from me. I'll work down the nsi list.
