itesecurity,

My typo, 240v is getting to the transformer, the rest is 12v output.

Alarm Protection,

You are obviously more into web acronyms than I am. It is difficult to feel insulted when I have no idea what TBH means. I mistakenly thought that the purpose of this forum was to seek and offer advice! If the recommendation is always 'Seek professional advice' they you might as well put a sticky at the head of the forum and close it down.

Tbh - to be honest. I am not insulting you but if my car breaks down and I cant fix it after trying to then a garage repairs it to a good standard.

Remember your alarm system is protecting thousands of pounds worth of goods in your property and if I were you now, I would get a pro in.

Some of the questions I see get asked on the diy area are not for a diy person to carry out.

Alarm Protection,

Apologies. "I am not insulting you but if my car breaks down and I cant fix it after trying to then a garage repairs it to a good standard." I'm trying to fix it before I have to resort to an expert. In all likelihood, it is something pretty fundamental, but only elimination of the obvious will reveal that. And I'm trying to find the obvious.

Will look at the sounder after the Bank Holiday as the neighbours will not be too happy with an alarm ringing every few minutes.
