Super_Sam
Hello everyone... This is my first post, so please do patient with my novice approach... I am an automation engineering so I am not worried about handling systems like this We bought a house recently which has been empty and on the market for sometime. It's obvious to me now that the system was disabled by flicking the switchboard mcb off. Also I found out that the panel cover was removed. The previous owners left no details of the installation i.e. no Operator code nor a note if the engineering codes were changed. even the installer number has changed! I can't upload a picture for some reason to show you. the transformer is hanging by wires (which I will tidy up). When I switch ON power to the board (with the panel cover is still off) the Bell outside the house sounds, I was trying to test the bell. Here is the details of the system Accenta G3 with mini G3 Panel Motion detection sensors installed (4xdownstairs + 1xupstairs) I am reading the manual to work my way around the system. To be honest I don't want to go and get another system when this seems to work.. Any directions on where to start, hints, tips.. and what to do if the access codes are unknown? , Sam
Super_Sam
Hi, I've also found out that the Battery was ripped out! Reading though the manual, I think the best thing I could do is to reset the board to factory setting and start fresh. I will need to get a battery.. Any Idea where to get that from ? Scotmod
i'm sure Sam if you post your location someone here will kindly pop out and do the dirty work for you. That being said you would be better to spend the £50 and whack in a G4 and do the rest yourself. Battery can be had from anywhere really, public you'll be looking about £20-30 quid.
