sdchilderley
Hello all, I've recently visited my dads house to help with a few bits he has moved into another house and does not need the fitted wireless alarm, so ive disconnected it and taken it. After the inside detectors were removed i proceeded to the bell box outside to find that it was an ADT dummy bellbox... hmmm... so the when the alarm is triggered the internal siran on the control panel is activated at that point calls the call center... swipping a small black fob will allow you to arm and disarm etc. http://tycosecurityproductsemea.com/English/Pdf/Catalogues/Intruder_Split_13_11/Intruder_UK_Ch17_Panels_Le_Sucre.pdf So the link above is the system, accept with an additional 2 wireless motion detectors and a door magnet. The website suggests the device does have a programmerble interface via a computers browser... so, i have usb cable and hook the device up to the computer and a driver is needed, ive googled and googled for hours and not getting anywere... i want to change the call center number to my number and just top-up the sim every few months... is it possible..? does anyone have any experience with these devices if so what can you tell me about them... thanks in advance. shaun
Rulland
The arc (alarm receiving centre) are more reliable than your neighbours-hence the decoy sounder, though most companies fit a live one as well!. As for the rest of the equipment-you are on a downer mate, the control panel will send special codes to the arc that will make no sense at all if directed to a number that doesn't know how to interpret them-if you want a intruder alarm in place-get an intruder specialist in tbh. Alarm Protection
Shaun, From what I have read you have taken your old mans system and want to install it in your house. There is no live bell as the previous system was monitored through ADT. Either you get a local security company that deals with the dominal panel or IMO get 3 quotes of local companies telling them what you want. If they do the dominal panel then add a speech dialler to it. This is not a DIY job by you with this certain alarm panel. !

Recurring revenue for our three lettered friends. To be honest I would have left it in place, not much use unless you want a keyholder contract with ADT.
