danlad1980 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 hi all hope your all well. Ive been given a project to do regarding a access door. this door leads to some tennis courts and the owner wants to limit access just to people who have payed to use them at that time. i was thinking of doing some kind of system where the reception can enter a code into the system at there desk which then the person using the court can enter the same code at the door to open it but after the code is used it will not open the door a 2nd time unless its re-entered at the reception? any ideas on what system or setup would be ideal for this? Thanks Dan
james.wilson Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 You could use any pc based system for this but maybe something designed for the purpose would be better. Would take long to write an app to do it securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Scotmod Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Paxton Net 2 with the paxton software on the reception pc. Programme the token to only allow access between the given time period say + 10 minutes either way to let them in and out. If they swipe the fob and dont give it back still won't work. Software is easy as punch and any peabrain can do it. Easy to install and setup from you're point of view too.
miaren Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Yep, I agree with Scotmod.. limit of 64 timezones on net2 should be enough...just create the timezones for each variation and the allocate that timezone to the record at the time of paying. Dont forget to program the Valid to field.. PIN will be easier coz theres nothing to lose...
danlad1980 Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 forgot to say the building has a galaxy dimestion 520 fitted and wasnt sure if in some way that could help?
james.wilson Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 you can use a keypad and have code to open the door with time restrictions etc but the keypad isnt waterproof and the pc software is horrid. You could use a max reader but again setting that up with the hateful user management suite wouldnt be simple securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Matt@siemens Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Hi Dan The Sipass Entro system has a reservation feature that sounds like it could be used here. A user can either pre-book their card via the web or locally on a terminal that allows them or their family access. you can set up that the user can reserve a certain amount of time over a monthly period. The Door controller can link into the galaxy panel disabling the alarm on a valid reservation if needed. Matt
Alarmtek Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Have a look at the IRSYS Tailgating people counter, unfortunalty you have to set it up with a laptop, but its your best bet for anti passback.
