magpie
Hello, I am installing a Texecom Veritas R8 system. The Walk Test and Sounder Test were both normal. Now, when setting the alarm and simulating an intrusion, nothing happens, in particular there is no 12V tension appearing between A and B on the control panel. There is also no change on the keyboard display. When I "Full" set the alarm, the alarm seems to be set normally ("Unset" light turns off, keyboard displays says "Full Set Suite 1 . 3 . . . . ." for 5 seconds, and then says "Full Set"). Thanks in advance for your help, Maggie I am installing a Texecom Veritas R8 system. The Walk Test and Sounder Test were both normal. sixwheeledbeast
Is this a Veritas Excel? Are the zones programmed in? Does the system go into alarm at all when activated?
infernalsiren
You are obviously using an Excel for the display to show "full set suite zones> 1.3........" but you may have turned zones 2,4,5,6,7 & 8 off in the full set suite options. Check full set suite prog option 50. Should show by default "full set suite zones> 12345678" on the display.
magpie
Thank you for your responses! To sixwheeldbeast: Yes this is the Veritas Excel. No, the system does not go into alarm at all when activated. To infernalsiren: I am using only zones 1 and 3, and these zones are indeed the ones activated for the "full set" suite. The problem is that when I set the alarm, and a zone is triggered, the alarm (sounders etc.) does not go off.

sixwheeledbeast
Check Options 48 and 50. To make sure there setup correct. Also check your zone options on 11 and
magpie
I believe all the options are programmed correctly (my active zones are not disabled, and they are programmed for the Full Suite). Also, my zones are on guard type and entry/exit type (both set to 5 secs). My bell delay is also set 0 seconds. Any other ideas what might be wrong? sixwheeledbeast
If programming is correct and the sensors walk test ok I can't see what's wrong. Double check your wiring and start to consider a faulty panel?
james.wilson
Can't see its a faulty panel. I'd confirm by defaulting it and linking out all zones. Setting it. Then remove a link. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
