dsmi1 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Hi everone, i have owned this model from new, but just recently iam unable to set my alarm due to some (two) of the numbers not responding (beeping) when pressed, is this a indication that the battery needs replacing or could it be a faulty panel, grateful for any help provided. Thanks
sixwheeledbeast Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 If it's not been serviced it that time I would recommend it. Please don't post multiple threads!
breff Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Faulty keypad The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
PSE Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Sounds like it possible need a new keypad membrane, Texecoms part number is DCA-0015 I would however recomend having this checked by an proper alarm engineer, They will be able to correctly diagnose the problem and if required, install the new parts. As its been installed for 5 years, I would deffo get it fully serviced, chances are, its going to need a replacement battery backup, Also get the external sounder battery tested aswell. Regards
