eddiewhiteley
Hi, a family member wants an existing camera replacing, but they would also like another camera adding to the same location... Im guessing due to the age of the previous one, its a BNC cable, Is there any way to add another camera and share the BNC cable some how?
PeterJames
When you say bnc do you mean coax? If so no

aetherica
Usually we use 1 line of coaxial cable for 1 cctv camera (BNC is the connector that connect camera to cable, and cable to DVR). But we heard some use "Balun" to share a line of cable for multiple cameras. --------- CCTV Aetherica - Surveillance & Security Solutions ---------
Oxo
Your idea about "Baluns" is correct in a Cat5 cable using two cameras but NOT the coaxial mentioned above. "Hearing" about something is different to actually knowing and giving actual advise. As above Google "Duo link" "2 Cameras one coax"
