Driller Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Any thoughts on the flood-with-built-in-PIR + dedicated PIR for CCTV idea guys or would that be considered a bit amateur? The relays could always be added later when things calm down a bit no... PS New avatar just for MrH
norman Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 lol Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Driller Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Fair enough I'll use the built in PIRs then and see how it performs. If it doesn't work, I'll do the pipe in black
Adi Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Search BJ electronics on ebay, he does all sorts of relays. I'll vouch for the quality I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
infernalsiren Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 This should do the job : http://www.tk-consultants.co.uk/TKDRM.html with adjustable delay.
sixwheeledbeast Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 This should do the job : http://www.tk-consul...o.uk/TKDRM.html with adjustable delay. Why use a DRM. They're single pole, 3A rated and not really for purpose. Any standard or transistorized double pole relay will do as long as the contacts are rated high enough for the job and the coil voltage is correct. Something like an IS12.
Driller Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 Thanks for the further info guys, I'll have a good look at that.
