Dan1134 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Hi, apologies of this is not the right area but was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I have just moved into a property with a ade optima compact alarm system and since having work done the alarm sensor in one of the rooms in the house has had the front cover knocked off and now disappeared. This means it now has all wires and electric board exposed. Does anyone know where I can get a new front cover. I've looked around on the net but they all seemed to be the wireless versions, mins is the older type that is wired in, anyone know where I can get a front cover for the sensor? Many thanks, Dan
james.wilson Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 You can have any sensor on that panel so you need to identify the sensor. Maybe upload a pic? But I'd suggest it would be cheaper just to replace the whole sensor securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Rulland Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Hi Dan and welcome, There are hundreds of different manufacturers of pir's, and basically the majority of them will be usable on your system, without specific make/model number etc of the pir,not panel, it could prove very difficult to source. Other alternative is just replace it completely. Beaten by James, again.
Dan1134 Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Many thanks chaps, I will upload an images tomorrow. So replacing the sensor is the best thing to do then it seems, any sensor would do? Do you know where the best place to buy a sensor from; a wired in one that is. Dan
Dan1134 Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Would this sort of thing do: http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/190703309856?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&cbt=y
itesecurity Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Possibly. But it would be better for you to upload a picture as there are different types, quad, dualtech etc. Is there any info on the printed circuit board?
