Hi folks,

Can I promgramme my intruder alarm to come on at specific times?

The situation is, the alrm is fitted in a new build gym at our rugby club. We want to set the alarm to come on at 22.00 until 07.30 hrs.

But I can't, using the 'User guide' figure out how,or if, it is possible.

Any simple help for a simple person, would be appriciated.

Is this a monitored system or bells only? Is it under contract with an alarm company?

The panel on its own won't do it, no. The bigger dimension panel has this capability. You could however connect a 7 day timer (like one used for say, a central heating system) to a zone programmed as keyswitch to make the panel set and unset at specific times. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a means of confirming that the system has armed succesfully as if it fails to set, you could have a problem...

Not with that one I`m afraid.

OOPs beaten to it.

As above a timer but there could be someone in the building when it is setting for examle.

How would they know?

The bigger panel as suggested or a Menvier panel would.

Suspicions confirmed.

We did ask for a 'timer' option when we were first enquiring. I guess the alarm company ignored/forgot that request!

Thank you all for your replies.

If its on police response its not simple to impliment

It is linked to the main club house alarm, but the gym is in a stand alone building, with it's own control panel.

The club alarm is on police responce for confirmed entry.

The alarm was triggered by a member, who forgot the code, yesterday.

The gym and club alarms both sounded, but it was not clased as a confimred entry. I assume that is becasue it was in the gym and that is not set for a confirmed entry police call out.

I'll give our alarm company a call and get them to come up with an option, as it seems that they haven't quite met our requirments.
