james.wilson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 In V1.52 of the G2 firmware, Honeywell has identified that an unconfirmed intruder alarm, caused by expiry of the Entry Timer, is not signalled to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) if using channel based signalling format or a communicator driven by intruder outputs. All other local indications (bells, siren, strobe etc.) operate correctly. The only scenario affected occurs when the entry door is opened and no further detectors outside the entry route are activated. Any detector zone activations outside of the entry route or following the entry timeout will result in all appropriate unconfirmed and confirmed intruder alarm signals being transmitted to the ARC. Important Note: In all cases, if an entry timeout alarm is sequentially confirmed by a second activation, the intruder signal and the verified alarm signal are transmitted at that point. No alarms which should result in Police response will fail to be transmitted. Signalling via Contact ID and SIA formats is unaffected and operates as expected. Honeywell does not anticipate operational difficulties arising from this V1.52 firmware and this mode of operation but installers and ARCs should be aware of this situation. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
