DDS Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Hi, After problems with my computer the guy in the shop suggested he move the hard drive to a new tower. I have got my computer back home and can no longer find my video server software. I have a Leviathan system / LJD Digital Security CCTV cameras. Is there anywhere I can get the software online to view my cameras? I have looked for vserver.exe file and cant find it anywhere online assuming thats what I actually need to view my cameras??! When everything was working before I would click on a yellow camera icon and it would open the cameras for me to sign in and view. If i search 'vserver' on my computer it brings up .vdb, .vdd, .hdr, and .vmb files but thats all Any help would be gratefully recieved. I'm quite the novice with this!! I have attached a pic of what i used to see for my cameras incase I'm not making much sense! Thanks, Debby

PeterJames Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I am confused you cant use the Leviathan as a computer its a DVR, I think it must be the client software you need heres a link http://www.wakefield-security.co.uk/client_downloads/client/EliseDVR_VClient_5_0_11_161_adv_%5BXpVsW7%5D.rar You will need winrar or winzip to unzip it Pete
DDS Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Hi Pete, Thank you for the link! However, before I saw it I was given the original software cd which I ran on my computer and installed it successfully but each time I tried to open the vserver program it said 'failed opening device driver (BorsDrv.sys)'. I then tried opening the program as administrator and this time it said 'video capture cards configuration error please reinstall video capture cards'. I tried uninstalling them in device manager and then reinstalling them but I got the same message. I read somewhere online where someone was advised to delete the old databases and start again so I deleted all the vserver files I listed in my first message above into the recycle bin figuring I can get them back out if I needed them. I then tried opening the cameras and it said the same thing. So I restored the files Id put in the recycle bin but the .vbm file is no longer there. Then I saw your reply above with the link and installed that which opens fine but I cant sign in with any passwords that i used to sign in with, it just pops up to say 'Windows socket error. The requested address is not valid in the context (10049) on API connect'. I don't know if Ive now caused this mess because I'm missing the .vbm file or whether its something else but I can't figure it out Any ideas please as i'm now starting to lose the will to set them up and resign myself to not having the cameras anymore. It's turned out to be a right nightmare! Thanks for reading.. any help would be fabulous!! Debby
PeterJames Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Hi Debby Do you have the cards installed on a PC running windows or is it a DVR? The Vserver software is normally installed as embedded software with no windows, though we are able to run it on windows XP or 7 We own the UK OEM license for this product now, however, we are not allowed to provide just the software on its own, we must sell it as a complete product (Its part of the agreement we signed when we took it on). We can install it on your PC for you but we cannot give you a copy, what part of the country are you in?
