LeeLee73 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Hi I have been asked to survey a site to with a view to offering maintenance / taking system over. However, the system onsite is a Chubb AFX director integrated system. Does anyone know much about this system and whether it is possible to take this system on or whether it is "closed" an the client is stuck with Chubb? Thanks Lee

Cubit Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Much of it is closed. A pain in the **** product. Thankfully, we just have to rip them out.
kwc Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 We nearly got one but thankfully upgraded. Got manuals for it but i would not touch it. Went to site with a chubb engineer of 30+ years and he even didnt want to touch it.

norman Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Ie best leave it with Chubb? Why have you gone all French, have you been knocking one out to the sucre again? Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Will probably stay clear or suggest replacement. The customer hates Chubb so may be prepared to pay out for a full system replacement with something that anyone can look after. Thanks again.
