Oxo Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Did you then follow the factory restart proceedure?
samauty Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Yep followed factory restart procedure as well. Still the same. What you do rekon my chances are of getting a new one off Honeywell?
Oxo Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 None if the PCB is scratched and or damaged. Not as they sent it out. So repackage tell the retailler what has happened and claim a refund or exchange.
james.wilson Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Yep send it back to where you got it. Sounds like its duff. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
samauty Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Yep will give that a shot. for all your help guys TBH, I'm tempted to get a panel with a remote keypad now as well..... What are Texecom panels like....or are they all kind of the same?
Rulland Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I personally prefer the R8/R8+ to the Optima, but thats just my pov.
sixwheeledbeast Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I personally prefer the R8/R8+ to the Optima, but thats just my pov. Same here
itesecurity Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Castle Euro Mini would be my choice and they are a doddle to program.
james.wilson Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Euro mini for me but I do like the accenta optima etc, look at the texecom feature list vs a new Honeywell, the accenta imo has a lot more than an r8. Both solid panels though securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Scotmod Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 For a boggo panel you're hard pressed to find better than an Optima IMO. Easy to fit, stupidly easy to program and the keypad looks pretty nice actually - much better than the MK7 or 8. If they fitted it with keyprox they would swallow up the ungraded market but then that would be silly now wouldn't it. The only thing I will say about the compact is that the inbuilt speaker is pants. I think this would have to be one of the few panels that come from Honeywell duff. Whats the QC date on the PCB out of interest? Would be nice to know how long it's sat on a shelf somewhere.
