SoupDragon Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Can't decide between the Optex RX40QZ and the Honeywell 7450 DT. The Optex seems well praised on this forum but I'm not sure if it would be worth using the dual tech to prevent fa's.
sixwheeledbeast Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Stick with the quads for domestic. In a house you would only require one in a garage or a conservatory etc.
fozzies Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Personally, id go Dt every time. The diff in price is insignificant these days imo
SoupDragon Posted September 22, 2012 Author Posted September 22, 2012 Have ordered it, if I'm feeling brave I'll post a picture of the wiring inside the panel some of them in the gallery look great. Many thanks for the advice!
SoupDragon Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Going to beat the record? Dunno about that Why would the Ventcroft vision have it's status LED's flashing red and orange rather than red and green?
james.wilson Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 They changed from green some years ago as green didn't work well on some of the back colours. When we used them it was red and green securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
SoupDragon Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Ah I couldn't tell because the actual led is clear in colour when off. Yeah stands out much more than green, looks good too.
james.wilson Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 The red and green only really worked on the white backplate. As they have now stopped that colour, I suppose it makes sense.
