Oxo Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Nothing wrong with supporting a couple of panels. Most do. I know your a Castle man, used them in depth with remote bespoke inhouse monitoring. Why I started to hate ID Then again this was a University campus over a large county all reporting to a central desk. Dont ask about the CCTV or over 1000 door per site access. I know I repeat myself but the Castle training was in a barn and all they banged on about was fault finding. Last one I took out was a Banham marked one, with their software in it. Still able to boot it. But I do admit the RKP is nice.

james.wilson Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I wouldn't install a panel we didn't support. Its like taking your BMW to a Mercedes specialist. If you want a specialist then they can only support correctly a small handfull of panels properly. Yes a back street garage can work on anything or so they say, but how well. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
RC944 Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 if any of them give you a quote without seeing the place throw it straight in the bin. i thought the same...all three that have come back so far have been subject to site survey etc... i think it makes sense to focus on one thing... i wouldnt take my cars to a jack of all marques the numbers are now coming in... i want to get your views but there is of course a chance that of the 6 that im talking to some of them will be on here... if anyone is happy for me to get in touch by email so i can send the estimates that would be great

Scotmod Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I can see why they are giving you costs without going. After all a wireless pir is generic and 'should' cost the same for every customer and your give and takes will be for what they actually have to wire. I don use texe kit so I wouldn't bother quoting, or I would double my margins on everything to make it worth my while. Another reason why the dearest isn't always the bet either.
