JamesD Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Hi, Its possible, but wouldnt the expander have lost contact with the other sensors on the expander's list too like shocks too? (if im correct, the expander is zones #17 and up, and some of the shocks zones are #18 and #19 which set the alarm off okay). Out of curiosity, any idea how to list the zones that are present for each partition (A-D) please for the 9751 system? I've scoured the manuals but cant seem to find the command for this. Thanks.
richardthatcher Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 sorry I don't install this equipment I ripped one out the other week due to issues with the expander - Customer was happy to go completely wireless with an enforcer
antinode Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Do any of the contacts trigger the internal alarm when you remove their lids? If you do get a tamper indication in this state, that would say to me that the panel is still seeing them... Trade Member
fozzies Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I reckon the zones are de programmed. If set as final door setting, that would explain the full set issue. No way to view them as a whole, you have to view each zone individually, iirc Also, again iirc, to change zone programming you enter the zone number from engineers menu, and for 1 to 9 you enter 01 to 09 Cant see how you wouldnt have got a low battery warning, these devices do signal that to the panel, unless they are deprogrammed. Also, the lack of tamper when you remove the lids Again iirc, you need your front door( assuming thats the way you leave when u set) programmed as FE and your other doors as NA. You will also need to add them to the correct areas. Your front door will probably be in all sets, so abcd for that. Also, you will want to add the attribute entry to any detector you want to start the entry timer when part set, front door, 1st floor hall detector for instance
9651 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I have had one or two early wireless expanders 'go to sleep', ie customer thinks its fine until itss walk tested, too late etc. Bit **** really. Galaxy wireless all the way.
fozzies Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Really? Thats bad. Thankfully we havnt installed scannies in a few years now, they've definately gone downhill a lot. Menvier also seem to be not as reliable these days, we are considering our options there atm. Tis a shame, they used to make great kit
9651 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Yup this is going back a few years there was even a tech bulletin iirc...... If you power cycled the expander it would work again, but for how long.... It was a certain version no We were Menvier all the with the TS stuff, the M series put the end to that.......... Only fit 9651 from the cooper range now.
