Scotmod Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I feel Honeywell with the gal are doing a 'scantronic' If that every happened I'd quite gladly start fitting Yales all day.
JamesD Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Thanks again guys. None of the tampers are triggered when lifting the lids off the 3 door contacts, only when lifting lids of other sensors like shocks. Im guessing they've been deprogammed too, though its odd that its happened only the 3 door contacts and nothing else. We have had the power switched off a couple of times at the consumer unit recently (we're having a house extension). Perhaps its related to that. Thanks for the info Fozzies, its very helpful. I will have a go at programming this at the weekend (wish me luck lol). )
9651 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Power cycle the unit first, just wondering if its the case of what i put.
fozzies Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Do as 9651 says in pref to my advice, its the more logical next step
JamesD Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 Sorry guys, how do i power cycle the expander? (i assume it wouldnt wipe the existing programming?). Also some of the shocks (zones #21 and #22) i guess would be on the expander but they seem to trigger the alarm okay. Thanks.
fozzies Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Just remove the +12v wire frim the expander.it will be a smallish cream box. Inside it the pcb will have a 8 segment led display
JamesD Posted September 22, 2012 Author Posted September 22, 2012 Hi guys, finally had the time to check the alarm. I think I figured something out, the door contacts attributes are set as NU which seems to be Not Used. Strange all the door contacts have been set as this. So I'd like to set the front door contact as the Final Exit for level A. However for level B I want the door contact as a normal alarm. How would I do both when theres only one set of attributes for a zone please? Thanks.
antinode Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Have a look in the manual under Level B Final Exit response (Final Exit or Normal Alarm) Trade Member
Oxo Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 What if you go out and wife/partner sets part B. You open door and all hell lets loose? You may not do this, but it was worth pointing out.
fozzies Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I seem to remember its an attribute u need. When you assign it to final exit it auto adds the attrib entry, take that off again. At least , i think thats right
