magpye Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Rubbish, you want something with a bit of taste " Firey Freds Crazy Cheddar Cheese " from Shepton Mallet, Somerset. Blows your head off Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
Oxo Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Ahhh, tasted that. Brilliant. We ger a chilli cheddar in Asda`s ( or is it Mexican), either way it`s good.
sixwheeledbeast Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Reminds me of that White Cheese from Liverpool I ate at my aunts ? Not looked it up, but its a strong crumbly cheese. Delish. Crumbly Lancashire? Very nice, my local cheese. Not just from Liverpool but was known for many years to be transported to near London from Liverpool. I like Wensleydale straight from the Hawes factory.
Oxo Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 That`s the one. Hardly see it here unless I pop into Selfridges or Harrods. A little treat I give my sons and myself once a year. We go to Harrods and they can have a (limited value) choice of what they want. The American jelly Bean counter usually wins!!!! You ever seen what £60`s worth of jelly beans looks like? (Not a lot TBH but its their treat). I hit the cheese sections. Then we walk around the store wondering why someone pays £70 000 for a bottle of champers and 4 glasses!!!!!!!!!! But, Selfridges Food Hall lets you have a taste of things before you buy, or not So you can get a free lunch with some planning :D Think Tapas, but you walk about for it pmsl.
sixwheeledbeast Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 That`s the one. Hardly see it here unless I pop into Selfridges or Harrods. Being up here it's everywhere in varying qualities and quantities. I am sure I was a mouse in a former life, from the amount of cheese I eat. I think I cleaned up most of the tasters last time I went Hawes, free lunch
Oxo Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 LOL Same here, love cheese. Except edam. Like chewing a rubber ball in my opinion.
norman Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I went there earlier in the year and sent my lad this pic from the car park as a teaser, he loves any type of cheese. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Oxo Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Norm you barstewart. That pic has made my mouth water. Especially the cake for cheese. Git Regards Drooling person Can you order that online? Please say yes and give me the link. Too lazy and going out in a bit.
norman Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Not sure, I was there with an engineer and found myself drawn to the shop, kicked the **** out of the free tasting and came away with that. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
