RossoReed Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I've just installed a Scantronic 9651 panel in my daughter's bungalow, which went really well, and have programmed it 'Full Set' (A) to arm the 5 PIR's as 'Normal Alarms', and the front door contact as 'Entry Route'. Night set (B) arms only 3 of the PIR's & the door contact, leaving the bedrooms un-alarmed for obvious reasons. However, I'm concerned that my 2 yr old Granddaughter may wander into the protected areas and trigger an instant, false, full alarm. Any suggestions as to how to re-program the zones to overcome this, such as somehow making the protected zones 'Entry Routes' when part set, to allow time for Mum to disarm the panel? Thanks in advance Paul
Oxo Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 First of all the front door HAS to be Final Exit in A. You could just keep Level B as default and internal and keypads only. Or make all zones ER and use ER timers on all, But this would also let an intruder wander about for say 30 seconds also. Not very good to do and would advise against. So the above is better.
RossoReed Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Sorry, the front door is final exit! I agree, the option to make all zones ER and use ER timers on all would not be good. Not sure what you mean by 'You could just keep Level B as default and internal and keypads only', do you mean program 'A' set to external+ internal, and 'B' to internal & keypads'? is that an option? PS, apologies, I've posted this in the wrong section of the forum. duh!
Oxo Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 FE is good, as it should be, Agreed. A defaults to externals, sounders and keypads in alarm. B defaults to internal sounders/keypads only. Never mind, your here now anyway.
