Guest FIN23 Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 hi all new here so will try to ask my question correctly... right , i am redecorating my bedroom and found after ripping out the old fitted wardrobes that the alarm wiring was more than shoddy behind the wardrobe itself.. i traced the cabel to be a connection from a PIR in the dining room of my house , which passed thru my master bedroom... i wanted to tidy the witing up and put it behind the skirting or something with nice flat screw terms... problem is.. i changed the wiring by cutting out the old shoddy section and recoupling the cables, now none of my PIR's work anywhere in the house!! no red light as i walk by or anything! i have taken the cover off of one of the PIR's and it causes a tamper alarm on the main unit.. so the cable i changed must be fine?? i am a little puzzled here... did chaging the cable cause a reset of some kind that stops me resetting my alarm???? My manual only states 0123 as operator code.... anybody help me !? Thanks all FIN
Service Engineer Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 No, when changing the cable you blew the 1.6Amp fuse in the panel. The fuse will need replacing. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Guest FIN23 Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Thanks for the quick response guys!! the alarm did sound outside wheni cut the cable, i entered my code to shut it off.... i will check that fuse as soon as i get home !! will let you know.
Service Engineer Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Entering your code would not have shut off the external sounder if the fuse had blown It would with the Accenta, it has seperate fuses for AUX and BELL supplies. ........................................................
