Driller Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Hope someone in the know sees this, I want to put in place a voice and music greeting system (run by BT etc I guess) but I want to install and configure my own PBX system. Does anyone know if the greeting system needs a particular kind of PBX to work (is there a special comms protocol?) or will any old SOHO Panasonic, Orchid etc do the job?
Driller Posted October 5, 2012 Author Posted October 5, 2012 Thanks for the shout, are they fairly straightforward to program? By memory you can program them through a USB port but also need a Panasonic telephone (not a problem). More to the point, do you know if the Panansonic system will work by default with a greeting message service?

norman Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Pan PBX are made in the UK? Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Driller Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 A computer could do that? Never heard of asterix but will look into it. Trouble is it's going to be limited by the number of lines available I imagine whereas offsite will be infinite or lots anyway.
