PeterJames Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 He's not wasted on geeky bollox! What you do need to do though James is get some engineers that can do what you do otherwise your gonna struggle. I like to keep my hand in (Steve theres a joke there somewhere) but I wont do a full install
Oxo Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 To be fair anyone with a bit of common sence could fit that. I could fit the whole door if needed with either transom or floorsprings and of course the locks and electronics But it helps being trained as a locksmith too. (mind you not got my picks anymore, so would struggle a bit on the clean opening side again for a bit). Then again "destroy opening" is more profitable And by that I mean the worst would be a 6mm hole drilled, and thats a tad on the large side!!!
jb-eye Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I like to keep my hand in (Steve theres a joke there somewhere) but I wont do a full install I do full instals and am in Bristol and your home town in the next couple of weeks. Customers!
alterEGO Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 To be fair anyone with a bit of common sence could fit that. There speaks someone that has either never run engineers or been very lucky with his guys. Most are one trick ponys at best.
Oxo Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I have "run" people, engineers another matter, But the multi role, like myself would have no difficulties with the above. It seems most forget a good "Engineer" in London with a smaller company can and does work on many items. There are too many other companies out there doing the same, so you do it better. You sound a little jaded there mate.
alterEGO Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Not at all I'm just realistic, I have only ever known one or two engineers that are of the level you are talking about. Most can't and the others are too lazy to make the effort to learn the other disciplines they lack.
