Mike J Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hi I am currently pricing up a project in Huntingdon area where we are being asked to install Salto access control into a hospital. I have walked the site and it is a refurb where around 10 different access control systems are installed and it is the case that for most doors, the existing readers and control untits will be removed and replaced with Salto. We have around 25 doors to do this on and we have been asked for the installation to be carried out by a NACOSS or NSI approved installer. This is a contract for the installation only as Laidlaw will supply the Salto equipment to be fitted. Please email me if you can help. Regards Mike
alterEGO Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I'm guessing it needs to be wireless? can't see any other reason for Salto.
Ronnie Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 wireless access?? if the local plumber can manage visonic then he should breeze this..
alterEGO Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 You better tell them Pete. http://www.saltosystems.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=259&Itemid=153
Ronnie Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Salto isnt wireless? no idea, just going by what he said
Cubit Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 wireless access?? if the local plumber can manage visonic then he should breeze this.. Difference is. Salto are picky about who gets to play with it.
Pedders Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Salto is both wired and wireless, the battery powered handlesets send data to the users card and then this is transferred back to the main system when a wired door is used. PeterJames Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Thats a bit missleading the information is transferred by the card from a connected door to the non connected door. Not really wireless in the respect that no information is wirelessly sent
Ronnie Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Difference is. Salto are picky about who gets to play with it. So were EDA when we became a dealer. I am aware they also sell direct to non-dealers.
