james.wilson Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 how do you stop the pstn being unplugged? the whole point of dual path is that if one path fails the other is there to back it up. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Cubit Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Axa were a bit difficult as one of our bigger customers used them. I remember writing a blunt email telling them we wouldn't be fitting Redcare as requested. It could be unplugged from the router, but that's the idea of polling. From what i'm seeing the webway reports pdq if IP is dropped.
matthew.brough Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 At least you can get it to tell you straight away if you do unplug whereas not so easy on a dialler. From what i'm seeing the webway reports pdq if IP is dropped. Programmable as low as 1 second www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
Lwillis Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 It's terminated from the dp via master socket into the panel . It's not a stop it being unplugged but its not as simple to remove the master socket and cables from terminals as just unplugged a rj45. IP is the way forward no doubt . In a commercial cab we could wire direct from a switch rack crimp onto the back of that and then plug into the comms in the panel .
arfur mo Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Is this the case with the agility 2 way detectors also? i'd suspect it might be, the wireless watch outs used to have 2 batteries, now only the one. Agility is great kit, you will get annoyed at the nag triple bleep that starts a while after going into engineer mode, just press zero and it stops, stating on keypad 'insert engineer code'. Same happens on the ProSys, so litsys likely the same. what is nice is taking the keypad with you as you enrol the detection, if clients have problems get them to press hash fir a few seconds, the kit announces the issue (which you can then hear) over the phone, If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Oxo Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Do you mind, I made an observation. And was expecting a reply. He was civil about me the other night ( meal out). It would be interesting to see what actually was wrong. So in all good faith. Take that veiled warning and shove it.
