I suppose I am being unfair to some of my chaps, three of them have never had an accident the whole time they have been with me. One of those three has been with me for over ten years. But I have had the odd one or two that think they are amatuer race drivers, one van written off, and several just knackered, and thats why I dont buy new

I have always been lucky enough to get new.

Astra Car

Renault Berlingo

Mitsubishi Charzima

Vauxhall Vectra

Peugeot 406

BMW 328iSE (But that was a special for a short time)

Ford Ranger Pick up ( Was for tax avoidance until they changed the laws on pick ups). But a great motor to have. PITA for tools over night, no rear hood and they are not secure anyway.

Always looked after them, if you`re given something like that you look after it end of story. The Astra car was White and on a Monday when we all went to office to restock I would get dirty looks as mine was spotless, handy to have two young sons who think its fun to help wash the car on a Sunday morning. All the others were filthy..............Engineering manager would go mad at all but me.

Any remember the pics I posted of the Berlingo after 1 year. You would have thought it had come out of the show room.

Also with that I was the only one to run it on LPG as much as possible, the running costs for mine were 2/3 less than the others as they always used petrol .............again , as I said before, save the company money you have more to use when bargaining for a pay rise. No brainer really.

We had one that had the accelerator pedal broke, I guess thats about right!

Funny you should say that, one of ours has just developed a fault with the accelerator pedal. When its fully down (Normally going up hill and gearing up to early) it will sometimes cut out. Its just had a new clutch fitted so I thought it may be that. Our usual mechanic was too busy to get it done so we had it done at one of our customers, but our usual mechanic looked over it and seems to think its the pedal.

Thing is Mr H. The increase in cabcams shows just how dangerous some drivers are.

I've no issues with cyclists getting knocked off their push irons,

but knocked an old man flying like a rag doll & failing to stop is pretty much lowest of low,
