Guest Guest_Rigid Raider_* Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Grateful if anybody can help with this. An electrician working on the house nipped a wire setting off a "tamper" alarm. My wife constantly re-set and re-set the panel until eventually everything went dead. On advice from a pal we repaired the cable then disconnected mains and battery, left it for an hour then reconnected. Now the system refuses to arm, all four zone lights go on and the tamper light as well. All PIRs are dead with no flashing or clicking. No idea what the "Concept System" is or who made it, knowing the previous owner of the house it's something cheap and naff. Any suggestions apart from "call a professional" ? Thanks!
Guest RICHL Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 the internal fuse has blown, and yes call a professional because it is cheap and naff. Sorry if that hasnt made your day

Sorry if that hasnt made your day 21424[/snapback] Thanks. What is the internal fuse? I can solder and mend a Land Rover so what are my chances of replacing this? Is it actaully a physical fuse or some kind of component that needs replacing?
Wooly-bobs Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Post your location and maybe one of these nice fellas will offer their services to you. Always best to get a professional to check it out and service it if it hasn't been looked at for a few years.

We are in Wilpshire, Blackburn. And yes, we would want a full inspection/service plus possibly some improvemets like a better panel and a second bedroom panel. Any takers?
Guest RICHL Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 The internal fuse is in the main control panel mounted on the PCB. There may be more than one. An alarm engineer would replace it with a 1amp 20mm glass fuse, but being a Landy man you may prefer to use a nail/screw or similar

Then I'll call one of your colleagues out when it all melts down. He will be able to add another horror story to the forum below that I have so much enjoyed reading today!
