Cubit Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 worth a look here http://www.angliatoolcentre.co.uk/tacwise-z1-140-metal-staple-tacker-for-140-type-staples-6mm-8mm-pid39002.html Never had a problem with Anglia, rate them highly.
kwc Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I thought the use of staple guns were banned? We never used them the past 20 years as caused more hassle than their worth. I know the inspectors didn't allow us to use them.
norman Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Ok in the correct fabric, some companies have no stapling policy but tbh in the right circumstances they look neater than clipping imo. worth a look here http://www.angliatoolcentre.co.uk/tacwise-z1-140-metal-staple-tacker-for-140-type-staples-6mm-8mm-pid39002.html Never had a problem with Anglia, rate them highly. that's cheap, any good? I have an old rapid I've had for c20 years that's still going strong. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

For an inspector to give you a non conformity it has to be against the rules and I don't see anything in any standard that says staple guns are not allowed? I have an old rapid I've had for c20 years that's still going strong.Quite sturdy.Survived the usual drop test off the step ladder several times without a problem. I don't use it that often but works fine when needed, Staples easy to source at screwfix too.
arfur mo Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I had to clip a cable for 40mtrs today in a warehouse as a bug has spread through the engineers... network cable? (bugs, spread through engineers eh eh - oh please yourselves) If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
Alarm Protection Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 6 bed bungalow today and the rapid gun made my life easier. Bugger clipping in the loft. Would have taken double the time as no light and not floored. !
