matthew.brough
Bit steep. AA also uses AM not FM for transmissions. It's also good becuase you can control the polling times. You now I'm not a lover of radio and we only have a small amount (probably about 300) radio devices but to be fair to them we don't get supervision fails and we poll them quite frequently. You can also use multiple receivers to act as repeaters for doing big area. Appreciate you haven't seen it in action. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/

And your cost for a wired detector? Swings and roundabouts, RF no wires a tad expensive. Wired and a hour to fit a PIR = You work it out. It is public after all. I have no fear in saying RF will be a bit more than wired but you have no decor issues. Yes you need to have it serviced and batteries changed so it is again more expensive than wired over a time period. But then again your new floors and walls are not damaged, as of course the alarm was the last thing on your mind, it is an afterthought. So its easy, think ahead and have it wired. Leave it to the last min and you have wireless. PS, I really have to get a Texe Ricochet in my hands. Adrian, any chance of a reps kit ????????????? Ronnie
And your cost for a wired detector? not sure why that would be relevant, the shock was due to the average price of most other wireless detectors at around 25-35.
