JasonOfOz Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 HI Everyone, Was thinking about getting one of these. Does anyone use one? Is it any good or just an unnecessary gadget? Of course I could just pace out the distances and FOV to calculate the lens size but I thought this would be great as you can look through the lens to really confirm what the client will see. Any thoughts? J.

JasonOfOz Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 we have a computar live viewer. never used anymore im afraid James, is a "live viewer" the same as the VM300? If yes then is the reason you don't use one because you know what you're doing and are confident that the lens you specify will do the job or is it because of another reason? Online examples over set distances made it obselete, also real time IIRC Sorry Oxo, I'm not sure what you mean here, could you explain in more detail?
Oxo Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Camera suppliers give shots of "items" at differnt distances with a different lens, For example a screen shot at 25mts with a 8mm then another the same with a 12mm ect ect. Then some let you connect to their DVR and use PTZ so you can show the client with your BB/IP/S3
