SoupDragon Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Hi guys, Was looking through the logs on the house alarm (euro mini) and there is a lot of "set failed" however the alarm is setting (logs show when the alarm is unset in the morning). Any ideas as to what this could be? There is also what looks like a "c" on the display when the system is unarmed, it's exactly like the symbol for a closed input. Should it be there? Not sure if that's what is causing set failed but I'm not sure, see pics below.
MrHappy Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 c=chime failing to set could be number ff reason why, can you hear the exit tone from outside the final door ? Mr Veritas God
SoupDragon Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 c=chimefailing to set could be number ff reason why, can you hear the exit tone from outside the final door ? no chime on any of the inputs, on exit it will say exit via hallway/front door and then carry on counting down until armed. Just tried it and it seems to have all set fine, started counting down when door opened but the logs again say set failed.
MrHappy Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 no chime on any of the inputs, c=chime selected, press c & c will be removed of the display, Mr Veritas God
SoupDragon Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 c=chime selected, press c & c will be removed of the display, Doh, thanks
SoupDragon Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 Okay I think I've found the problem, on the control panel pcb there was a jumper labled tamper. Linking this has removed the set failed from the logs however the tamper spring for the metal case isn't detected when linked.

SoupDragon Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 I had a look but no mention of a set fail timer or similar, just entry/exit/siren/fire/double knock. Entry/exit is 30 seconds...
