Oxo Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 would recommend it to most people. What about the "not most" then? Something sinister we should know about?
antinode Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 No, it's just that I wouldn't say it's going to be everybody's cup of tea. For example, if you're after a nice relaxing break away then Vegas doesn't really fit into that category, I'd go to the lake district instead. Also, most places don't cater for children, so for the most part it's not family orientated... but for couples without kids, groups of lads or girls and "older" parents who's kids have flown the nest then it's an experience like no other Also, the Hoover dam and Grand Canyon are only about an hour away and pretty amazing places to visit and see in person. Personally I can't wait to go back, just wish it wasn't a 10 hour flight away. Trade Member
Oxo Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 I`d move there if possible, Eastern Seaboard and go west on a Harley when fancied.

whistle Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 The last 3 times we went to Florida with the kids we loved it. All of them where for 21 to 26 days holidays, loved it and really did not want to come home. We did 10 days or so in Orlando in the parks etc, then the rest down the gulf coast on all 3 visits.

Oxo Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 I Got halfway there and had to turn back as was getting sunburnt on the Harley. Not a good idea to try the 140 miles in shorts and a t-shirt.

Love the West coast of Fl, beats the insanely tourist geared Orlando any day...
