Oxo Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Fit new panel and a anti surge protection kit , that hopefully will blow and save the panel. Unless it is a cheap panel and then it might be cheaper to just replace the panel of it happens again, had one site hit 4 times! Ps does your phone work or are you using a dongle?
angellonewolf Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 internet through virgin only a cheaper OPTIMA G3 or g4so £55 to replace as long as hasent taken out any more i hope the dialer is ok but if not have had 12 years out of it so cant moan
Oxo Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Well if its come down the phone line the dialer is stuffed too. Tried a test call?
angellonewolf Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 cant try a test call as there is no power as the alarm panel is down so untill i replace that i cant see if the dialer is bust or not
Rulland Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Power the dialler from the new battery to test.
angellonewolf Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 am going to have a go in the morning will post back when i get any more info thanks angel
sixwheeledbeast Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Be careful you don't blow your new panel with a blown speech dialler. As above test on a battery first.
morph Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Do you actually know what was wrong with the system before you started? What made you change the battery?
