mcelec Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Not sure if this is the right place to post...... One of our good clients has asked if we could at a electric gate as a favour, basically it is stuck open. I have sent one of our engineers along he has checked all the usual voltage etc, all appears fine he seems to think it may be the board controlling the gate Quadro Commando ZA4 - does anyone know where you can get hold of one of these and cost? Anyone have any experience on gates have any suggestions? It really is one of them jobs where you wish you stuck to your guns and stuck with sorry we don't do gates Quote
morph Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 This of use? http://www.cameuk.com/camenew/tech-docs/02_Control%20panels/ZA4_319S15/s15%20v4-1.pdf Any Came distributor will be able to supply parts. Quote
norman Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Check the safety devices also, possibly one of those, I personally would get a gate co in for liability reasons when his car/wife/kid gets trapped in it. Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
tismemike Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Try this link http://www.cameuk.com/camenew/tech-docs/02_Control%20panels/ZA3_319S13/S13v31-1.pdf There is a Nottingham telephone number at the bottom of the pages Quote
alterEGO Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Where is the site? Give us a shout if you're still stuck. As norm said, link out all safety and see if it closes, if it does bell out each pair until you find the open circuit. Quote
mcelec Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Hi Guys Thanks for replying, I have spoke with the engineer that went out to site he tried linking out the sensors, Im going to try and get a cost for the ZA4 board and swap that and see how we get on. Quote
Oxo Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Did he meter the motor outputs on a command? Could be the capasitors a cheap repair. But the safeties would be the best bet. Any ground loops? They can degrade too. They could have been lazy and used a open/safety in one go. That goes tits up the gates stay open. Total stop button pressed somewhere? It happens. Gates ( I assume a pair) are locked in place or are the bypasses in place? Radio card fitted? Did he pull it off and let it run manual after a power recycle? Fun ehh. Quote
mcelec Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Thanks guys appreciate the advice, CAME actually have a office in Stockport which is only 40 mins away from us Quote
