My daughter drew with biro hand prints over new gloss and that dont wipe off either! And the usual felt pens on the white sofa doh!

And its the second white one! First one was leather ( never again) its the equivilent of the black car! Only had one it was a mk 2 gti golf and vowed never to get a black car again!

Ain't that a touch insulting to make that statement on a forum where the vast majority have had some involvement in supplying signalling intruder alarms

No insult was indended so sorry if it read that way. I was trying to get the discussion away from the storage of guns topic that I'd inadvertantly started. And actually from the replies it's pretty clear to me now that if you want full monitored/police response then buy a fully monitored pro install. And also have had some useful suggestions on kit and the debate on dialers was useful, too. Plenty of food for thought so thanks for all who have replied. I think I'm going to get a few quotes next and consider whether DIY or pro is right for me.
