Oxo Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Still have my trusty Toshiba, filled up with Ram and 17" HD screen. Not so portable as main "PC" as sons have the other two now. Extrnal HD for personal stuff and lots of software (Well stripped out ATM but have some access and various alarm RSS and other bits). USB - Serial converters various sets of leads.
sixwheeledbeast Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Why none of you mentioned any Handset/Lap Top is strange, they are a tool now in the true senseI haven't gone down the test monitor, laptop, drills, cable tracer, steps etc ... I thought it was just hand tools not everything in the van?
breff Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I used to have Snap-On cutters and screwdrivers as I used to be a mechanic, now that I have lost them all I just buy cheap(ish) stuff mainly Stanley. £15 for 1 terminal screwdriver from Snap-On BTW The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
MrHappy Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 £15 for 1 terminal screwdriver from Snap-On BTWhas the high cost of the tool been invested in the tool or are you the paying for the branding, franchise & coach built van Mr Veritas God
sixwheeledbeast Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 has the high cost of the tool been invested in the tool or are you the paying for the branding, franchise & coach built vanMac and Snap-on stuff normally comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Ronnie Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I haven't gone down the test monitor, laptop, drills, cable tracer, steps etc ... I thought it was just hand tools not everything in the van? i don't think were specific rules set out..
reidy Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 This is going to turn into a pissing contest Hey Ho, Lets Go
breff Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 To be fair, Snap-on stuff is brilliant, I've still got stuff I bought 30 years ago and if it rusts or breaks i can take it to any dealer and get it replaced foc. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
