Guest SIPARK Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 We have been having problems with 9851 panels losing their expanders, keypads etc. we have carried out all the relevant checks i.e. voltage ok at expander, no noise or induced ac on panel data line etc. we kick start the panel as per installer guide, but to no avail. This happens with new installs, takeovers and panel upgrades. we get advise from cooper tech support who just ask us to carry out relevant checks. HELP PLEASE!! as we dont experience these problems on the 9751/2 panels. We also get random zones in fault when leaving engineer mode. we carry out resistance and continuity checks = all ok. Is any one else having problems with the 9851? Please let me know
Service Engineer Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 How long are the cable runs..? Sounds as though they are loosing the Data connection. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)

Service Engineer Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Are these runs from panel to expander, or panel to expander to expander to expander etc etc.. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Guest SIPARK Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 Are these runs from panel to expander, or panel to expander to expander to expander etc etc.. 21656[/snapback] All expanders are wired panel to expander (no daisy chain) Spoke again to cooper who said that they have updated the software in the last 3-4 months.(we,ve got the older panels, Thanks supplier!) they have improved the scan rate for the expanders. so they are logging in faster!! Thanks Cooper! they could have told us this before!
