Ctaylor Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Hi I know this is a same old story but could some please help. I've wire in my pir eol ( texecom have built in resistors, I've moved the jumpers to correct value) I've linked out zones not being using and prog as not used I haven't connected bells yet as I want to test So my problem I,m trying to walk test but nothing's happening am I missing something driving me mental Any help is appreciated.
sixwheeledbeast Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Is the zone programmed in? Have you tried View Zone Status? Are you certain the EOL values are correct? Are the wires in the correct terminals? You don't need to link unused zones it's not a Gal. Only link the Aux Tamper if not used.
Ctaylor Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Is the zone programmed in? ~ arent they defaulted in? I've set attributes Yeah viewed zone stays it says secure I've followed the eol values as per instructions of the pirs it's specfies texecom premier and the values I've linked out Aux tamper as I'm using eol ( I forgot to do this first but Gotham error and then linked out, error went )
sixwheeledbeast Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Yeah viewed zone stays it says secureAnd does it go active when the PIR's triggered...
Ctaylor Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 No just checked that it stays like this Zone 004 panel04 Secure 02k180?
sixwheeledbeast Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 No just checked that it stays like this Zone 004 panel04 Secure 02k180? Well first guess is something is not installed right. Also if the PIR is some distance away you may need a helper to watch the keypad, while you test the PIR.
Ctaylor Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 The miss was in the living room while I was watching the panel How could it not be programmed right I'm confused because even the default settings would be right for the way I've wired it.
Oxo Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Keeps gong back to the wiring if I read this right. Double check. Then check again. We do.............saves headaches.
Ctaylor Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Does it matter what way round the wires go into the panel it just says zone one with two connections. But the pir has alarm and tamper ? Surely it can't be a problem with all the wiring on all the zones ?
