Does it matter what way round the wires go into the panel it just says zone one with two connections. But the pir has alarm and tamper ?

Premier only has two terminals for each zone so you can't shouldn't go wrong there.

Check the PIR manual, if Texe PIR it should be one in left Alarm and one in right Tamper.

Surely it can't be a problem with all the wiring on all the zones ?

It won't be.

Ox you're being very tolerant this evening, I'm impressed, lol.

I always try and assist public members visiting here.

Not the same in trade though wth people whom think they are better than others.

That is the difference.

OP

Check the PIR outputs WITH the tamper closed.

Stay still and read off the resistance, you know what should be there, then move and see the change - keeping the tamper spring closed. This will tell you the PIR is working.

Then you may see where you have wired incorrectly.

Do it with the zone cables removed to avoid incorrect readings.

Fiddly, but you will learn what you`re looking for. Rather than being told.

Walk test now works. I checked my pir wiring and I had the alarm core on the outer connector of the two and it should have been inner.

Pir now working. Thanks for help on this.

last issue I have is the door mag I've wired it to the rkp and mapped it to a zone not being used in the panel but I think I've got my wiring wrong because it doesn't like it. I'm wiring it using 4 wires as the rkp has AA TT I've wired the alarm pair to the two silver screws and twisted the tamper pair together and wired it to a gold screw. Can anyone shed any light on this ?

Thanks
