mountianrider Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Hiya Im looking for a wireless alarm for my house, can anyone suggest a good make / deal on the market? I've seen a wireless yale system in B&Q and I know that it may not be the best but it it probably;y suit my needs? (4 PIR etc.)
Lwillis Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Get quotes from your local approved installers SSAIB or NSI. Pick the one your most comfortable with. Wired systems are better IMHO. Most installers will go with what their engineers are most knowledgable with. Where are you based ?
james.wilson Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I dont think anyone on here would recommend the take product. Minimum requirements for wireless is 2 way imo Popular makes are the 2 way system from visonic and the pyronix enforcer. We dont use these however securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Oxo Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 For what you`re after get the Visonic. Check the DIY site for issues with the item you mention.
fozzies Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I'll third the visionic. Have fitted a few on pj's and had no issues at all
Lwillis Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 We've fitted quite a few generally had no issues. Had a few door contacts fail tho ( after 3 years)
AlarmScot Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Hiya Im looking for a wireless alarm for my house, can anyone suggest a good make / deal on the market? I've seen a wireless yale system in B&Q and I know that it may not be the best but it it probably;y suit my needs? (4 PIR etc.) I Install & Maintain Alarm systems & etc for a living and I will say this. If you think your Yale System will provide you with what you need then get it. Also always remember your budget. Average cost of a security system to be installed is from £600. Family have installed Yale systems and I have helped them and must admit it is a nice piece of kit and does do the cheap good enough for the average home.
