alterEGO Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I'm assuming most would not know what they are, as I have never seen them in 'real life', delete it if you feel the need for whatever reason.
sixwheeledbeast Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 The most annoying thing with the GJD's is the single button programming. We are also looking for other options now only the SIP Redwall's are available.

Don't know how many they sell but never seen one out in the wild. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/

If you 2 have never seen them then I will never see them lol! lol, I'll tell them to send you some free Irn Bru, or would you rather some buckfast? That seems cheap Matt.

That seems cheap Matt. I think its a fair price. Having a direct account with UTC helps as there isn't a middleman adding margin but we do have to hit certain spends to get the rebates we do on their kit otherwise they would get very expensive. I was looking at the price Norbain bang some UTC kit out for and compared it to my price list and they make some massive margin on some stuff. I've always wanted to know what the likes of ADI make out of something. I suspect on certain kit it is a killing and on others peanuts but it is only a guess. Never seen distributor pricing. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
alterEGO Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Too much for the piss poor service they offer! I wish Texe would do direct accounts, I understand why they avoid it but it would be alot easier if they did. We have a pricebook/matrix with ADI but they are a pain and the prices are not great.

James can correct me if i'm wrong but I seem to remember a few installers clubbing together to form some form of buying group because they were unhappy with price and service? UTC sell exclusivly through ditribution aka Norbain but they do have a handful of direct accounts if they allow you in their club. With the likes of Security Warehouse and e-supply etc I'm not sure if there will be a need for a branch network. If you can get the kit delivered to site/home/office with a 1 hour time slot why would you want to waste time/energy/diesel going round to the local ADI that's probably got less stock in it than I could fit in my shed? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
